إرث الاستعمار وإشكالية التنمية المستدامة في الدول النامية

This study investigates the profound impacts of the colonial legacy on sustainable development trajectories across developing nations. Utilizing a contemporary historical-analytical perspective, it examines the structural linkages between the economic, institutional, and socio-spatial frameworks established during colonial rule and the persistent post-independence developmental predicaments. The central research question posits: To what extent has the colonial legacy shaped contemporary sustainable development crises in developing countries, and what are the explanatory limits of this historical variable amidst contemporary global transformations? Employing an interdisciplinary framework grounded in political economy, dependency theory, and modern institutionalism, the study argues that while colonial legacies provide critical historical explanatory power, they should not be perceived as deterministic fatalism. Domestic policy efficacy, institutional governance, political stability, and international market volatility interact dynamically with this heritage. Consequently, sustainable development requires transitioning from extractive models toward high-value manufacturing, reforming public institutions, investing in scientific innovation, and deepening regional integration.
